Conducting Program
opera rehearsals
Serve as assistant conductor on mainstage opera production and scenes. Conduct staging rehearsals with piano, while receiving guidance from faculty. Collaborate with stage director Noa Naamat to create an artistic result that connects the music to the regie. Assist in preparation of singers and orchestra.
Orchestra Time
Opportunities to conduct orchestral readings, stage-orchestra rehearsals with singers and performances by negotiation with artistic faculty.
Conducting lessons
Depending on the needs of the conductor, opera-specific training will be provided in private sessions with piano and singers. Also conducting lessons with string quartet, piano and singers on the repertoire for the final opera performances.
Industry connections and Exposure to Real Opera Houses
Experience hands-on involvement in the daily workings of a professional opera house, hosted by Opera Zuid. Logistics, planning and relationships is half the job of an opera conductor. The proximity to major cultural centers like Amsterdam, Brussels, and Cologne, facilitates collaboration with opera houses and festivals in the region.

Additionally, you will gain access to networking opportunities and events with casting agents, managers, and opera house professionals, as well as on-site auditions, and Q & A sessions with industry leaders.
Credits and Promotion
Performance credits will be listed on Operabase.

Professional recordings of performances will be made for your self-promotion, and personal or career needs.
